Seven-month-old Alexandra Marie McIntire was last seen to be in the company of a female caretaker on July 20, 1994 in San Diego, California.
Her caregiver took Alexandra to visit relatives in South Africa and never came back with her & authorities believe that Alexandra was sold for adoption there.
Investigators never had enough evidence to prosecute Alexandra's caretaker in her disappearance. Alexandra's caretaker is described as a 5"4 tall Caucasian female with red hair & blue eyes.
Alexandra was born three months premature and she spent the first weeks of her life in the hospital due to medical complications. She was seven months old at the time of her disappearance, but was only about half that age developmentally. Due to her underdeveloped lungs, Alexandra had to have daily nebulizer treatments with albuterol. She has a scar on the upper left side of her back from extensive lung surgery.
Alexandra is classified as an endangered missing person & her case remains unsolved.
