Two-year-old Curtis was last seen on November 18, 1989 in Newark, New Jersey. He was shopping with his dad, Curtis Williams in downtown Newark at the time of his disappearance.
Williams told police that his son disappeared during a shopping trip with his girlfriend and two children. Curtis' mother, LaShawn McCoy last saw her son in October of 1989 in Gifford, South Carolina where she was temporarily residing with her mother.
Williams (who was LaShawn's ex-boyfriend) asked if he could drive down from New Jersey to take his son home to Union City for the holidays which she agreed. LaShawn returned to New Jersey after Curtis Williams reported her son missing.
On January 13, 2006, Williams was indicted on charges of murdering his son. Authorities believe that Curtis was murdered in Union City and buried in Jersey City.
Curtis has never been found. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and a blue Yankees cap. He has two marks on his back.
Curtis Williams later admitted to beating Curtis McCoy to death and accepted a plea deal in which he served 20 months in prison for the crime.
