Two-year-old Jyrine was last seen on June 23, 2002 in his home on 40th Street in Irvington, New Jersey at 1:00 A.M., sleeping in his bed on the second floor of the house. He disappeared during the early morning hours while his older teenage sister, LaElisa Harris was watching TV downstairs with her boyfriend, Gregory Jones-McCrae. The family searched the house before reporting Jyrine missing to authorities at 5:00am.

Jyrine's right leg was fractured at the time of his disappearance. He was diagnosed with ostogensis imperfecta (which is a rare medical disorder that causes brittle bones to break easily). He had previous fractures to his shoulder and wrist.

At the time of his disappearance, Jyrine lived with his grandmother and eight other people (including LaElisa) at the time of his disappearance. He was taken from his mother, Janet Harris on May 31, 2002 after she was arrested for abusing him and was still in police custody when her son went missing. The charges against Janet were later dropped after Jyrine disappeared as it was determined that his injuries occured as a result of his bone disease rather from abuse.

Authorities don't believe that Jyrine's parents took him and it's unlikely that he wandered away from his house because of his broken leg which limited his mobility and due to the fact that he has not been located. Authorities have also stated that Gregory Jones-McCrae hasn't been cooperative in the investigation of his disappearance, but he hasn't been charged in connection of Jyrine's disappearance.

Jyrine's 4-year-old cousin (who shared a bedroom with him) says that a Caucasian man and an African-American man abducted Jyrine, but his parents don't believe that he was abducted; however, Janet believes that there was an accident in the home the night Jyrine went missing and he disappeared as a result.

Most of the people that were in Jyrine's house the night he went missing haven't been ruled out as suspects in his disappearance, but there's little evidence available in his case and it remains unsolved as of 2020.

Jyrine was last seen wearing a Pampers diaper printed with Muppets characters. The cast on his fractured right leg (which extends from knee to toe) had writing on it which read: "Get well soon, Fatboy." His nicknames are Fatboy, Fatman, Pooh and Poppa Babba. He has a circular scar on his inner right forearm, a scar on the inside of his upper left arm, a scar over his right eyebrow, and a birthmark on his lower back.

Jyrine is right handed and may be in need of medical assistance. If you have any information about Jyrine's case, please contact the Irvington Police Department.
