On April 7, 1975, 17-year-old Steven was last seen at the New Lisbon State School for Retarded Males off Highway 72 in New Lisbon, New Jersey at approximately 4:30 p.m. on April 7, 1975.

Steven was a student at the school and was accompanied by one of his fellow students, David Williams. The boys (who were roommates) were walking towards their residence on the campus after playing at a nearby ball field with some staff members.

Neither Steven nor David have been seen again.

Curiously, Steven and David are not the only New Lisbon State School residents who went missing and were never heard from again; in 1982, 46-year-old Kenneth Schweighart disappeared from the school, but it hasn't been proven that the disappearances are related.

Since then, the New Lisbon State School is now closed and known as the New Lisbon Developmental Center.

Steven is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair, hazel\blue eyes, a height of 5'7 and weighs 141 pounds. His nickname is "Teeve."

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants and a blue hooded jacket. He is moderately mentally disabled, has communication issues and is unable to care for himself. Steven has chicken pox scars on his stomach and he fractured his right clavicle as a child.
