18-month-old Yohanna disappeared from her family's residence on August 15, 1978 in the district of St. Laurent located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where she resided with her mother and her mother's boyfriend.

Her mother went on a short trip and left Yohanna in the care of her mother's boyfriend. When Yohanna's mother returned, she learned that her daughter was in Washington. Yohanna's mother went to the United States to locate Yohanna, but to no avail.

When Yohanna's mother returned to Montreal, she filed a missing persons report with the police. The boyfriend was questioned, but released due to lack of evidence. It was affirmed that Yohanna died while her mother was away & buried before the mother returned, but Yohanna's mother believes that her daughter was sold.

Yohanna's case remains unsolved. She is of biracial descent with brown hair and brown eyes, a scar on her right hand between her index and middle fingers. The scar is shaped like the letter "Y."
